Our office headquarters is located in Newport Beach, CA and this is a hybrid position requiring three days of onsite work and two remote days.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, self-driven, Business Development Manager to join our growing affiliate marketing agency. This is a rare opportunity for a motivated sales pro to make a significant impact in a smaller agency, where you will have all the resources you need to succeed. We’re looking for a motivated, high performer, who can bring their experience, skillset and competitive drive to join a best-in-class team and make an impact on day one. You’ll need to have experience in affiliate marketing or digital media, selling agency services to e-commerce and direct to consumer (DTC) brands.


  • Generate new business opportunities by engaging with decision makers through direct outreach
  • Build a pipeline of qualified prospects and nurture leads
  • Schedule calls and meetings with prospective clients
  • Present agency solutions to prospects’ business needs, earn trust, negotiate and close deals
  • Find opportunities to develop and grow existing client business
  • Build long-term relationships with clients and regularly check in to ensure their needs are being met
  • Stay up to date with affiliate and e-commerce industry trends and engage in community forums
  • Travel to meet with prospective clients as needed and represent Alta Media Partners at industry events and tradeshows

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience selling affiliate marketing, digital marketing, influencer or PR services to direct to consumer (DTC) and e-commerce brands
  • Track record of success in developing new business with notable brands
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills
  • Previous experience in affiliate marketing or digital media required
  • Goal-oriented and relentless mindset; willing to take risks and take on new challenges
  • Organized and excellent follow through—you do what you say you’re going to do
  • Strong ability to connect with people and build relationships
  • Must be naturally resilient, optimistic and able to overcome rejection
  • Strong knowledge of—and passion for—the affiliate, influencer marketing and/or digital marketing industry
  • Ability to self-motivate and prioritize revenue-building activities
  • Passionate about competing and driven to succeed
