Job Summary: 

Blavity Inc. is seeking a Commerce, Integrated Marketing Manager to develop, produce, and distribute original thumb-stopping content on a daily basis. Leaning into viral trends, you will be tasked with social growth, engagement, and affiliate revenue with the ideation, development, editing, and execution of both long-form and short-form content for distribution on Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook and additional social platforms that fit with our growing strategy. You will be responsible for developing and executing social commerce strategies that drive sales and customer engagement through social media channels. You will work closely with the content creation teams to create and implement effective campaigns that drive traffic and conversions. The ideal candidate must have a love for media, Black culture, social media, digital trends, emerging platforms, and storytelling and a strong understanding of Gen Z content consumption.

This role will report directly to the SVP, Commerce & Consumer Media.


  • Create and edit thumb-stopping original content for TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Google Web Stories and more, identifying relevant trends and adapting them to fit brand voice and audience
  • Source, schedule and engage with viral content from TikTok and Instagram creators
  • Reference the brand guidelines and requirements when sourcing and creating content, ensuring posts are consistent with the brand voice, design, style and tone
  • Responsible for meeting growth goals to help build an audience in alignment with larger Commerce Team goals
  • Contribute to live off-platform coverage of news events
  • Take part in the upkeep and maintenance of social accounts as required
  • Provide weekly reports and insights to stakeholders
  • Create detailed support plans for original content, editorial, tentpoles and franchises
  • Develop and implement social commerce strategies that drive conversions, affiliate revenue and customer engagement through social media channels
  • Analyze data and derive insights from social media platforms to optimize campaigns and drive better results
  • Manage the social media calendar and ensure that campaigns are scheduled and delivered on time
  • Monitor social media trends and best practices, and provide recommendations for how to stay ahead of the curve
  • Work with the Creative team to develop visually appealing and effective social media content
  • Test and experiment with different content, messaging, and targeting to improve campaign performance
  • Monitor and report on the performance of social commerce campaigns, including key metrics such as traffic and conversions, to ensure positive ROI


  • Education: Preferred BA/BS or relevant work experience
  • Required Experience: 
    • 3-5 years of experience creating video content for social media and/or content strategy for a variety of companies, with a focus on driving sales and engagement
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Experience creating mobile content for the web and growing a social audience
    • Field production of social coverage of festivals, concerts and red carpets
  • Technologies: Plus if you have access to desktop & mobile editing software 
  • Additional Qualifications: 
    • Creative mindset that understands what Black audiences consume on social media and how to create it
    • Ability to analyze traffic and engagement metrics and use data to make creative decisions 
    • Strong judgment and the ability to make decisions independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their capabilities, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest
    • Proficiency with social media management tools
    • Experience with e-commerce platforms, such as Shopify
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • A healthy appreciation of GIFs and Black culture


  • This is a fully remote role. 
  • Candidates must be available to work at least 50% in alignment with the Eastern Time Zone.
  • The salary range for this role is $64,480 – $80,000.
