Head of Commerce.

The Head of Commerce at World of Good Brands will spearhead the expansion of commerce across our portfolio, assuming direct responsibility for commerce strategy across WGB. This position embodies leadership of the highest integrity and owns the generation of revenue from commerce, flat fees, and GMV, while strategically aligning our commerce strategy with both direct and affiliate objectives. This role will set the standard for thoughtful leadership and requires a deep understanding of digital commerce strategy and a proven track record of

implementing successful BD partnerships and content processes to increase conversion and drive revenue.

This role will:

Drive commerce revenue: Building audience and relevance across commerce content and experiences. This role should be able to both rebuild the foundation and build the future of commerce at the same time.
Commerce strategy development: Develop comprehensive strategies to maximize revenue from affiliate partnerships and flat fees. Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to identify new opportunities for growth.
Affiliate Partnership Management: Identify and negotiate partnerships with key affiliate partners to expand our reach and drive sales. Monitor performance metrics and optimize partnerships to maximize revenue and ROI. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in affiliate marketing.
Content Monetization: Work closely with editorial teams to integrate commerce opportunities seamlessly into content. Develop and innovate approaches to monetize various content formats, including shopping IP (across articles, videos, and social content). Ensure compliance with FTC regulations and ethical standards in all commerce-related content.
Performance analysis and reporting: Track and analyze key performance metrics related to commerce initiatives with a focus on ROI and strategic investments. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management to inform decision-making. Identify areas for improvement and optimization to drive continuous growth.
Team leadership: Lead and mentor a team of commerce creators, providing guidance and support to achieve goals. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment focused on driving results and exceeding targets. Encourage professional development and growth opportunities for team members.
Collaborate with stakeholders: The Head Commerce will regularly present strategy and progress to the executive team and other senior leaders, and make changes based on their feedback. This role will also work with other core partners to meet company standards for budgeting, hiring, and people management.

What does success look like:

Growth of commerce business at WGB in line with forecast or above
Management of affiliate tracking tools and commerce data
Build of strategies to prove exceptional ROI across top performing commerce content
Development of 2-5 year commerce growth plan for WGB
Partnering with CEO, Head of Growth, and President on QBR and quarterly and yearly planning across commerce
Setting commerce content publishing targets for each brand


12+ years of experience in media and content strategy, specifically commerce and product background
Proven executive leadership, business acumen, and step in and lead mentality
Strong leadership and team management skills
Deep understanding of digital trends and consumer behavior
Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decisions
Excellent communication and storytelling abilities
Creative thinker that’s passionate about positive impact
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

The starting base pay for this role is between USD $160,000 and USD $180,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, and other perks.
